November Surprise

We don’t get much snow here in Arkansas and certainly not in November. When we do get frozen weather it is usually in the form of sleet or freezing rain. What a surprise we had a couple of days ago when it began snowing.

I captured this photo right after the snow began falling.

This one was taken after it had been snowing awhile and snow was still falling.

Β

This one was taken the next morning before the sun came out and melted it all.

  1. Your photos are amazing. They remind me of our first winter snow days. Although I live in the country of snow, I do not have similar photos. When we lived on the countryside about 27 miles north of Helsinki, Finland, we had small garden with flowers and in addition to this, we had a small coffee corner made of cultivated willow. In the link You can see photos of our small and modest coffee corner in summer and in winter. πŸ™‚

    Happy new year!

    1. Thank you for your kind comments. Your photos on Coffee Corner are beautiful….I especially enjoyed the ones with all that beautiful snow. It is a lovely place and one that looks to be peaceful and a nice place to relax. Thank you for leaving the link so I could enjoy seeing your Coffee Corner. Happy New Year to you as well!

    1. I thought about you and wondered if you got more snow than we did. I think the heavier went more south. I think snow is beautiful if not mixed with sleet and it don’t stay for days on end. Stay warm up there sweet Patti. Hugs

really beautiful, and best of all is the melted next day. Ginny, a blogger in VA had an ice storm the past two days and without power because the ice knocked down trees and power lines for 24 hours. just came from her post. we are having a cold spell for us. 50 right now going to 72.. brrrrr and bright sun

    1. Melting the next day is what I liked about it. I know a lot about those ice storms and power outages. We were without power 2 weeks one winter and had a lot of tree damage from ice. Your weather sounds perfect. Hugs

Yes πŸ™‚ I like the warmer weather, but I know winter is fast approaching. Love that Chancy found gardening time πŸ™‚ Hugs ❀

      1. When we get snow we like it…it is when it is mixed with freezing rain and/or sleet that makes it bad. That is what we usually get, rarely to do get just pure snow. I wish we had gotten more that day. One year we had 15 inches of pure snow and the kids and I had so much fun building snowmen, snow angels and having snowball fights. I even made snow ice cream so the kids could taste and see what it was like. I have lived in AR most of my life and that is the biggest and purest snow I have ever seen.

Here in Georgia we don’t get much snow but right now it’s cold after a whole week of rain! Take care Mags! πŸ™‚

    1. We thought that was what we were going to have in my area too but it snowed. We had cold rain a couple of days before the snow. The way the weather is one never knows so you could get snow yet. πŸ™‚

LOL-Daisy and Bella are back to feeling the warmth πŸ™‚ They spent most of the day outside enjoying the sun and lots to bark about πŸ™‚ The woo-woo was running strong in these two πŸ™‚ I love the 70’s!! ❀

      2. That is great. Chancy enjoyed a little bark time and some gardening. He kept barking at something that I heard go over the fence…I think it was a cat. Great day for our sweeties.
